2020 Section 42 of the IHREC Act 2014 requires public bodies to eliminate discrimination, promote equality of opportunity and protect the human rights of its members, staff and the persons to whom it provides services.
Question 1: Provide examples of at least two (2) equality and human rights issues related to the functions of the organisation with which you are familiar.
Question 2: When identifying the issues, refer to relevant sources of information, evidence and/or legislative requirements informing your assessment of the issues.
Question 3: Outline the potential actions that could be taken to address each of the issues identified.
Question 4: Describe the processes and structures that need to be put in place to support the organisation to implement the actions and to report on progress in a manner that is accessible to the public.
