Thank you for the note! For the Case Study assignment, you may select one (1) pathogen from the current Case Study list: Yersinis pestis Streptococcus suis R. norvegicus hepatitis E virus Onchocerco lupi Mycoplasma genitalium Exserohilum rostratum Chikungunya virus Capnocytophaga canimorsus Candida auris Campylobacter spp. Ancylostoma duodenale Acinetobacter baumannii Acanthamoeba spp. Use AMA format (or any you are used to), in-text citations, and a reference list at the end. By the time you provide all information for your pathogen (including any figures, illustrations, maps) the case study will be several pages in length. Be sure to carry out the following: Read the Case Study rubric carefully and provide all of the requested information and discussion questions/responses Submit your Case Study to SafeAssign (this insures that you have referenced everything and avoided any inadvertent plagiarism, then Submit your Case Study within Unit 5 as homework using the Case Study assignment icon. You should have at least 3-4 facts (with in-text references for these facts in proper format) for each of the boxed sections (Epidemiology, Pathogenesis, etc.). There is a standard format for patient presentation (see attached). As the Case Study directions indicate, a narrative is terrific (it is more interesting and easier to write). Some students prefer bullet points but this format usually leaves out interesting history, novel treatments, or current outbreaks, as well as illustrative maps and figures which can convey some great information about a pathogen.
