Despite serious concerns over its validity and reliability, the interview remains the most commonly used selection method in Irish organizations (Armstrong, 2010 & 2012, CIPD 2019). Discuss this statement and in doing so you should:
A: Analyse different types of interviews identifying what you believe to be potential flaws and weakness and
B: Examine these concerns and make recommendations to address them.

Don’t forget to look at the role of bias in the interview process e.g. Halo and Horn effect is a type of cognitive bias where a person’s impression of another can substantially influence thoughts and feelings about that person (it can be conscious or unconscious) in either a favorable or unfavorable way

This section is where you draw all the main points of your work together
