DISCUSSION 1 A holistic understanding and practice of discipleship shifts Christians’ perspectives from harboring an internal faith and toward affirming God’s work and calling into every aspect of life. God equips and calls Christians for service in the wider world, and God’s story of redemption means that he is working for the common good of his world. Christians are then called to apply their whole-life discipleship for the good of those around them. LAPU articulates a vision for cultivating a commitment and practice of whole-life discipleship among its students, faculty, and staff. This vision is summarized in the LAPU Distinctives for Christian Faith, Life, and Learning and is further explained and explored in the Faith, Life, and Learning (opens in new window) section of the LAPU website.
