(10 marks available).
SECTION 2
MAIN FINDINGS
In this first part, you are expected to choose a company and explain how beneficial a mobile presence via an iOS or Android app could be (or is) for a company to promote and sell its services and products. To accomplish this, you should look at the current situation of the company, and what could be achieved using the latest features in today’s smartphones. (You may wish to consider the graphical interface, ease of use, location and search features, product reviews, descriptions, quality of images/videos, payment methods, customer support, the customer journey and the links to Social Networks). (20 marks available).
ANALYSIS
In the second part, you will discuss and recommend a specific development path for the app for your company. You should compare and evaluate the most cost-effective approaches for building or improving the mobile application for your chosen organisation. You should recommend what development method the company should use and give an outline indication of the potential costs involved (and a breakdown of these if possible). The app can be new as per the instructions before this – so you need to include features you feel would improve the app or be included on the new app. (30 marks available).
RECOMMENDATIONS
Your recommendations for the improvements in the app should come from the features that have been analysed in the previous section. These features must be attractive for your chosen business app. (20 marks available).
THE USE OF CREDIBLE SOURCES
You are expected to use credible and up to date reference sources for the mobile app industry. The references must provide evidence of commercial mobile practices and provide a theoretical underpinning for your analysis and discussions. (15 marks available).
SECTION 3
REFERENCES AND BIBLIOGRAPHY
You must reference all sources (text and graphical) using the CASE Harvard Referencing Guide. You should aim for a minimum of ten credible academic reference sources, but we would expect more. (5 marks available).
**No appendices to be submitted.
IMPORTANT note on PLAGIARISM: You must provide an original piece of work and avoid using third party content without references. If you do then your case will be sent to our Academic Misconduct Team.
