- Methodology
This study will use a quantitative research method based entirely on secondary data. The secondary data covers 3 aspects: Economy (eg transportation cost, manufacturing cost and profit), Environment (eg greenhouse gas emission) and Social (eg company reputation and customer satisfaction of company). These data will be obtained from journals, databases, company websites and public reports. The number of companies analyzed will be between 50-80. The datasets will be analyzed by using Multiple-criteria decision analysis (MCDM), Best-Worst-Method (BWM), Structured Equation Modelling (SEM). These methods rank the barriers according to their value weighing from highest to lowest reflecting which barrier is affecting the SMEs the most and provides result showing which strategy can used to overcome the barriers.
