Pharmacotherapy for Cardiovascular Disorders

According to recent statistics, cardiovascular disease affects almost half of American adults. This makes CVD among the leading cause of mortality in the US with one person dying every 37 seconds (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2019). The economic burden of CVD is approximately $219 billion annually. Taking this into account, it is of profound importance for the APN to recommend the most suitable and effective treatment plan. In this view, this paper seeks to analyze factors that might influence pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic processes based on the case study assigned, and how changes in these processes might  affects the patient’s recommended therapy. The paper will also discuss how the patient’s drug therapy plan can be improved.
