Nurses have a significant responsibility providing quality healthcare to their patients. Similarly, nurses have a responsibility to ensure that the elderly population under their care is in an excellent psychosocial situation. The elderly group under the care of nurses often find themselves lonely due to their substantial dependence caused by their mental or physical impairment.
For various people, aging is associated with the loss of fundamental aspects of life, such as friends, family members, physical functions, and many others. The effects of such losses and how they are managed can result in feelings of loneliness.
