Due to the issues presented both the side effects of each drug talked above and the reasons explained for and against doping and gene therapy in sports, it is clear that the use of PED is more harmful than good and it is on this ground the use of PED in sports must be prevented. To prevent the sporting personalities from engaging in the use of performance-enhancing drugs, there are several policy areas set by UKAD to be looked at and right things done, especially to bar the current and youthful generation from going the line of enhancing their sporting abilities by use of illegal substances (Thomas, 2012). The first thing recommended by UKAD is that focus of any game should be on fun and nothing else. Most of the games and sporting activities were initially meant for fun and that should be it. Fun should take the center stage in any game (Bates & Backhouse, 2019). This would ensure that they experience self and personal improvement, not minding too much on the win and less of how the win comes. This means that both family members of athletes and sporting personalities should reassure them that their love for them is unconditional, regardless of the performance displayed.
