Private policing in the United Kingdom are law enforcement bodies in the county that are owned an individual in country and also been controlled by non-governmental bodies or entities (Alain and Crête, 2009). Private policing are hired by individual or organisation to provide specific service in the country; on the other hand, public policing are law enforcement in the country that is provided by the government (Alain and Crête, 2009). Public police officers, in this case, are granted power by the UK government to provide security service to the citizen. They are an employee of the government, and their main duties are the protection of citizen life and preservation of the peace in the country.
