This research, therefore, seeks to contribute to the ongoing debate on which methods of reading aloud are important especially in the postmodern world. The researcher assumes that the traditional aspect of reading aloud is highly rated and considered because of its use since time immemorial, in ancient England as well as the postmodern world. However, the rise in technology also creates a strong desire for a shift into mediated performances that may also have a significant impact on the development of language and literacy skills among children. There is a need therefore to determine a suitable approach to reading aloud, that will assist teachers, parents, and other instructors to assist children to develop their language skills during early childhood education.
