The theory of communication constructivism adopts a different approach to mediation, explaining the individual differences to the way people communicate in various settings. Palmaru Raivo in a 2016 publication titled, ‘Constructivism as a Key Towards Further Understanding of Communication, Culture and Society’ opines that people have different skills in convincing, comforting or entertaining other people much better than others. Similarly, Kastberg (2020) noted that there is a huge difference in merely communicating by speaking and entertaining or passing knowledge that is important to the development of a recipient. The theory of constructivism in communication, therefore, offers an explanation of communication competency and how this subject contributes to the concept of reading aloud.
