Task 1:

Your research should be presented as a report that evaluates how the practice of a health and social care setting local to you, is affected by government policy and other factors, with regard to care delivery.

Your report should also assess the ways in which local and central government work together to make the policies that affect your selected setting. Your report should also include the following:

• An assessment of ways in which health and social care organizations meet government objectives and represent service users with a specific need, referring to your chosen setting
• An explanation of the role of government in making policy that affects your selected setting and the factors that affect the way policy is made
• An explanation of the ways in which organizations in the health and social care sector, represent the needs of service users with a specific need.

Task 2:

The evidence for this task should be based on two different local health and social care settings.

You are asked to produce a report that evaluates the ways in which workers and service users are affected by legislation and codes of practice relevant to each of your selected settings. You should also assess the impact of legislation and policy on workers and service users.

Your report must evaluate whether or not policymaking has improved the health and wellbeing of service users in your two selected settings and include a comparison of how your two health and social care settings implement legislation and policies.

You should conclude with an overall explanation of how the health and social care sector is affected by one piece of legislation and how service users are affected by the policy in both health and social care.
