The purpose of the research was to gain a clear understanding of what current leaders in the industry understood when discussing and implementing Industry 4.0 – this base line helped make sure that the training programme being developed not only filled the gap in their knowledge, but also enabled them to make on the ground practical decisions and to enable them to take their own organisations forward….
This research will enable the researcher to build a training programme that goes beyond just a high-level understanding, but will provide a comprehensive understanding of the various technology pillars

Qualitative tends to be popular with lay people as it is much easier understood. Chosen qualitative method for this project as the research is exploring the gap in knowledge around Cyber and Industry 4.0 and to enable a human-centred approach to providing people with the knowledge they need, contextual based research and subjective understanding is important. Why important, without the knowledge of understanding the current landscape, it would be difficult to provide a meaningful training programme that isn’t just providing leaders with academic knowledge but a practical knowledge that they can bring to the workplace….
